Stephen J. Shorrock is well-regarded in the life insurance industry as the consummate professional. He also serves as President of sister firm LifeVentures Corp, a product and concept development company, and Director of sister firm Veris Settlement Partners, a life settlement brokerage.
Steve is past President
and CEO of Bankers Life Insurance Company of New York and most recently
Chief Operating Officer of Improved Funding Techniques, an innovative
actuarial and consulting pension firm. During his 13-year tenure at
Bankers Life of New York, the Company became a market leader, as well
as an innovator in product design fueling substantial increases in
life insurance sales. While at Bankers, Steve had the dual role of Chief Financial Officer for the AmerUs Life Group.
Steve has authored articles for Life Insurance Selling, Wealth Management Business and The Bulletin. An authority on life settlements as well, his column, "The Secondary Market," appears in the Financial Advisor magazine. He has an extensive background in the design, development, and application of life insurance
and other financial products, and is accustomed to working regularly with corporate executives
and high net worth individuals, as well as accountants, attorneys and other advisors from top firms.
Steve has undergraduate degrees in both Math and Economics as well
as a MBA in Finance, and has achieved insurance and financial
planning designations of Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC),
Certified Long-Term Care Consultant (CLTC), and Fellow of the Life
Management Institute (FLMI).

Thomasina Michalik has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years. She has risen from being back office staff in the early 1980's at a Long Island firm, Jaron Equities, to being instrumental in building North Ridge Securities Corp. and Vanderbilt Securities, two independent broker/dealers on the island.
Tommie's accomplishments include being past President of the local Financial Planning Association, current Strategic Partner Vice President of the Financial Planning Association plus President and Founder of The Women's Financial Group, a mentoring and support group for women in the financial industry.
Tommie was featured in the Million Dollar Women article by Networking Magazine who titled her "the Rainmaker" and honored her as one of Beverly Fortune's 52 Women of the Year by Long Island Press.
Tommie received her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certificate from Adelphi University.
